Our Story

New River Brewing started in 2017 in a small shack in Lansing, NC. What began as a humble brewing dream didn’t stay small for long. The community showed up, the beer spoke for itself, and before we knew it, we were growing faster than we ever imagined.

In 2019, we purchased the old Burgess Furniture warehouse and transformed it into what is now our Ale House restaurant. What once held couches and coffee tables now holds craft beer, burgers, wings, and a whole lot of laughter. And it’s still thriving today thanks to this incredible community.

By 2021, we needed more room to focus on what started it all… brewing. So we purchased the old Mike’s Muffler Shop and turned it into our taproom and brewery location. What used to tune engines now fuels pints.

From a small shack to two thriving locations, New River Brewing has always been about great beer, good food, and the people who make it all worth it. And we’re just getting started.
